GLITTER INSULIN PENS

I am going to go straight in with my favourite one ! Same as all of my DIY ideas this one is really easy ! You just have to find the right ✨GLITTER✨ tape for you ! All you need to do is dress up your pens in washi tape and get them ready for the new years party or any fancy event you attend !

WHAT YOU NEED :

// glitter washi tape >> get from amazon >> https://amzn.to/2SpvVtD

// scissors

//disposable insulin pens

OR

//reusable insulin pens( eg. novoecho)

+ unisolve ( so you can clean up the glue off your pens when you decide to take off the tape but only gently and carefully not to remove pen colour or damage your pen) >> get from amazon >> https://amzn.to/2CFxCOk

tip : unisolve also does wonders for the glue off your skin safely left over from sites or sensors

HOW TO :

step 1: // choose an awesome glitter tape

step 2: // use long strips to cover your pens and avoid stacking up as a glittery base will not stick too well

step 3: // cut small pieces to fill around your dial numbers DO NOT COVER THEM !!!

step 4:// grab some carbs and bolus <3

// my favourite zebra washi tape like the one I used >> get from amazon >> >https://amzn.to/2BKfelx

If you use the tape to cover your pens completely you will need to make sure you always carry an Insulin passport or Insulin Safety Card with you to ensure that if you need any medical aid people can easily read what kind of insulin you are on.

The cards are great idea to have with you at all times anyway ! you can ask your medical team to give you one if you don't already have it.

I hope you enjoyed dressing up your insulin pens and are ready to celebrate !!! tag me in your glittery posts @diabetesis_ on Instagram >> here << or Facebook >> here <<
